The 5 Worst Things You Can Say To A Blogger

A Morning Grouch

So, I’m no blogging genius.  When I first started blogging I had zero idea of the etiquette, cultish followings, or blogging cliques that existed.  I pretty much started this as a procrastination tool.  I’m still half-assed and hardly an expert; I have been dragging my feet even getting my self-hosted site up and running (does that even make sense?) because I have almost zero clue where to start (but dammit, I will learn, eventually.  I will).  But even with all that, I am starting to get some idea of what the blogging world is all about.

There are some phrases non-bloggers may or may not realize are not a good idea to say to someone who blogs:

1.  I read your blog. With no follow-up.  Oh. Thank you? You read it. But you didn’t say what it was exactly that you read. Or if you liked it. Or hated it. Or if it…

It’s that time of the year.

Normally I wait until a week before the actual holiday to make things, well it’s always a timing fail. This year I’m starting early and hoping to get lucky enough to sell something for the actual holiday that the item is designed for. This year I’m going to make my own beads such as the pumpkins below, as for the large pumpkin and the ghosts those will be used as pendants.

The ONLY good thing about Las Vegas…

The only good thing about Las Vegas is the hot sun?! Yes the hot sun, but only If you need it. Why would you need scorching heat? Well if you use things like resin for instance the sun and 100-113• degree temps take your curing time from 24-48 hrs and makes it happen in 2 1/2 hrs. Once you collect your newly cured resin items you run back indoors and hide until you choose to make more. The other downside is that you can only use the resin between 2pm and 4pm ( at least that’s when the sun hits my balcony head on).

Featured in the photos are: a big wooden button that I used as a bezel and filled with resin to make a ring and also a few candy filled shapes that have yet to be shaved and cut.

Fairy doors

One night while I waited to fall asleep I found online “fairy doors” something I had heard of but never looked into. I became obsessed with making some with my stash of polymer clay.
I decided to make a few as pendants with little keys attached and a few doors that were meant for a wall or shelf, now I’m going to create a garden door and hope it goes well. I plan on making more until I’m sick of them, I also want to create themed doors too.
